Entertainment & The Future

The issue the entertainment industry faces today is that many types of media are available online without a fee or charge. This obviously, in turn, affects the industry because this option was not available years ago. Artists, Actors, Writers were making their living through book sales, cd's, and movies. Now, we are able to access all of these mediums for free. The industry suffers by having to search for different ways in which they can come up with income for these people who work for what they create.

By having all of these products available online; the content is receiving a lower value because people would rather search for it than buy it. The major issue is having to use the wide benefits of the internet such as promoting or marketing an artist but not having all of his or her content available for free. Now that these resources are availble it will be very difficult to stop them from continuing. Many laws have even been created to stop it from happening, as it is illegal. The problem is that the online music business has grown widely and fast. The resolution for the future is to find other marketing options to offer consumers to provide a stronger income. If not, the industry will fail and go down lower than it already has.
