The Upside And Downside Of Online Casinos

Benefits
People often go to gamblings sites because they are usually free and they allow people to play form their house. Casinos (well known ones anyway) are usually far and require travel and expenses such as hotel and lodging. Also for addicted uses the online gambling option allows them to keep their “real money”. However players argue that the excitement of rolling the dice and the thrill of the game isn’t the same when played online.

There’s a lot of controversy towards how the card distribution orks online while the land base casinos have real card dealers. Online games have aces occurring more frequently than land based. Othe rplayers argue that if your playin from home, since your saving the extra expenses such as hoteling, food and travel, you have extra money for gambling. At home gambling allows the player to earn millions just by sitting at home. Gambling at home offers more flexibility in the environment that players play in, allowing them to make is as comfortable as they want.

Downsides
Players also have a lot more chance of gambling away their lives at home. Players may feel too comfortable since they don’t have to leave necessarily as they would in a casino, to eat, sleep, use the bathroom etc. Also gambling on the internet is too quick and too easy. It creates temptation to try again and again while a player may get tired of so many tries in real life, it’s easy to click a mouse. Online casinos are the backdrop of many online frauds. Credit card info and other info is often stolen on these sites. Trusting gambling sites is risky. Lanbase Casinos are also loosing buisness to these online games and having to upgrade constantly.

  1. The first thing that came to mind after I read the first couple of words is that almost every hobby is losing its true value in today's world. We now get movies online for free and watch them at home; what happened to going to the movies and enjoying the theatre itself and what it was intended for? What happened to going out and eating instead of getting everything delivered to your door? and now we have casinos in our own homes where we can gamble? If you look at this issue but far away it seems so crazy. People now want everything at their feet, and what is going to happen to these places in the future? Are they all going to eventually disappear and go all online? I really hope not. People need to experience each other in person and socialize and be outside of their home more then they are on the internet.

I just think and predict that the more we turn everything into digital, the more we lose of traditional ways. This is negative because we will be relying on technology more and more and lose real meaning and morals. Let's see what the next fews years bring us, or, takes away...

  2. I would have to agree with Stephanie over here. Seems like the world is just becoming lazier day by day! People are getting used to having everything within their reach. People find it hard enough to make time to spend with their friends and family because of their tight schedules. So having access to sites that allow you to watch movies and TV shows whenever you get the chance to gives you flexibility. Thanks to internet obviously the value and excitement of going to the theatre just goes down the drain. Nobody wants to work around things; they want things to work around them for their own benefit. Imagine how people would feel if they lost internet for just a day. I know for a fact I would be crying myself a river if I did not have access to the internet because I admit it I like having everything under the palm of my hands. The digital future might contribute towards my laziness but at the same time I know I am not alone. It kind of makes life easier, everything is just a click away but at the same time it takes away the value of life.
